A little bit about me...
Hi, I'm Terri. I live in Melbourne's northern suburbs with my lovely husband and our two squishy kids.
After a career in writing and performing comedy as well as radio broadcasting, I stepped back from work to focus on family. I became interested in infant massage after I suffered some pretty amazing (not!) post-natal depression and post-natal post-traumatic stress. For me, this was a really lonely, confusing and debilitating time and I was intrigued to read about how infant massage has been proven to help families experiencing these issues.
After resolving to learn more once my kids were a bit older and I had some time to study, I successfully completed my infant massage instructor training with Baby In Mind at the start of 2016. The training I completed is the most highly recognised professional training program of its kind. It is endorsed by the Royal College of Nursing, the Australian College of Midwives, The Australian Association of Social Workers, The Australian Counselling Association, Occupational Therapy Australia and the Australian Association of Massage Therapists.
I’m both proud and delighted to be a Certified Infant Massage Instructor, trained in the only program available in Australia which meets the government and industry approved competency standard for Delivering Infant Massage Education to Families under the Australian Qualifications Framework. I have never forgotten the despair I felt while under the cloud of my PND and while I've worked with families from all sorts of different backgrounds, I have a special interest in working with mothers who are doing it tough - I've been there, I know what it's like and I'm here to help you.
