Hello Baby Infant Massage
What to bring to class.
Apart from your baby (funnily enough nobody has forgotten this yet…) please bring the following items to class:
-
A couple of baby blankets or wraps – these are for safely and comfortably positioning your baby during massage. If you don’t want blankets or wraps getting oily you may prefer to bring a couple of towels.
-
A pillow – again, for positioning your baby. In some cases you might use the blankets/wraps for your baby and the pillow for your own comfort as we will be sitting on the floor (although we can make allowances if you can’t sit on the floor for long periods of time or at all.) Pillows can also get oily so make sure you use a pillowcase.
-
Baby wipes and extra nappies. Relaxed and happy babies sometimes say thank you during or after their massage with a big poo, so be prepared!
-
Whatever items or equipment you need to feed your baby milk or solid food if/when necessary (if we are at my house I can provide a highchair if needed.)
-
Consider dressing your baby in separates (ie. a top and bottoms) rather than a onesie for our classes. Separates mean you can undress your little one according to the body area being massaged (ie. just pants off for leg massage, just top off for arms/chest massage) rather than stripping baby down completely and having them feel cold and exposed. The room will definitely be heated but most babies appreciate feeling warm and snug, and they’re usually more receptive towards massage this way.
